Abdul Rahman Iyad, a 12-year-old Palestinian residing in Dubai, has become an Instagram sensation with his unique and health-conscious recipes. Unlike most kids who play outside, Abdul Rahman spent his childhood experimenting in the kitchen, inspired by watching his mother cook.
Social Media Success
Abdul Rahman’s social media presence is booming, with over 150,000 followers on Instagram (@aboodifoodi). His viral video featuring a crispy chickpeas snack has attracted more than 10 million views. Recently, he collaborated with the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) during the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) for their 'sizzling summer eats' campaign.
From Shy Kid to Confident Chef
Initially shy about appearing on camera, Abdul Rahman has grown more confident thanks to his mother, Nedaa Suliman, a content producer. "I always knew he had potential," she said. "He’s now comfortable setting up the camera and enjoys experimenting with new recipes."
Looking ahead, Abdul Rahman dreams of opening his own restaurant. "I started a small business at school selling Twisters, but I hope to one day have my own restaurant," he shared.
