On the 28th of October, Pink Caravan, a UAE breast cancer initiative raising awareness of breast cancer and the importance of early detection and prevention and screening methods will be visiting Salt’s Kite Beach location in their Pink Caravan Medical Mobile Clinic to provide onsite awareness and screening for breast cancer.

Pink Caravan was founded in 2011 under the patronage of His Royal Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Founder, and Patron of the Friends of Cancer Patients.

To raise social awareness and underline the importance of early diagnosis of breast cancer, Salt’s latest dessert softie is pink and pomegranate flavoured, available at all Salt locations and exclusive to the month of October, with 100% of the proceeds of the pink softie’s sales donated to Al Jalila Foundation. Salt has turned its iconic black and white logo pink for the month of October to raise social awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The pink colour depicts a passion and joy for life combined with healing, femininity, and vibrancy, a perfect combination to represent the month.

Salt is recognised for creating ongoing trends and lifestyles within the UAE since its inception in 2014, before local and regional expansion, and today is synonymous with going on an adventure or feeling like a tourist within your own city. The start of their one-of-a-kind mobile street food operation in an airstream trailer at Kite Beach Dubai back in the day paved the way to legalising airstreams and food trucks in the UAE, adding a touch of “salt” right where it was needed.
