A massive fire broke out in Muscat's popular souq Seeb Market early on Tuesday morning, Jan. 30, which ruined several shops and warehouses.
The fire was brought under control by the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department and there were no casualties reported.
The cause of the fire is still unknown nonetheless, the authority called for people to strictly adhere to safety measures to avoid similar fire accidents and to protect human lives and property.
Major fire incidents occurred in the Sultanate in 2023 as well, with fire accidents at the Oman Avenues Mall and a factory in Samail.
The frequency of these accidents emphasizes the importance of adhering to all safety measures to avoid them.
