ADRIFT Anda, the new Italian concept of restaurants created by Michelin-starred chef David Myers, known to foodies the world over as 'Gypsy Chef', has been inaugurated at Le Royal Meridien Doha, the elegant hotel located in the heart of Lusail City.

They later enjoyed a live cooking show by David Myers, and guests shared memories of his travels around Italy, which inspired his restaurant ADRIFT Anda.

For his great success in the culinary world, he has won awards from reputable organizations such as Food & Wine Magazine, Michelin Guide, and the James Beard Foundation, in addition to guest appearances on popular TV shows such as Hell's Kitchen, Top Chef, and Master Chef.

Commenting on his new project, Chef David Myers said: “I am very happy to open ADRIFT Anda at Le Royal Meridien Doha. ADRIFT Anda is no different from all my other restaurants, a concept inspired by the memories, encounters, and experiences I have had on my travels around the world. As for the menu the food of the restaurant, I wrote it on a tissue while traveling from Tuscany through Rome to Naples. The menu is inspired by the best restaurants in Rome, pizzerias in Naples, and steakhouses in Florence.".

Chef Myers added: “The main element of the project is to provide a comfortable and warm atmosphere and combine it with the distinctive design of the restaurant, in addition to the distinctive Italian menu, music, and lighting in the restaurant.

The restaurant combines distinctive Romanian flavors, in addition to its recipes inspired by steakhouses in Florence and pizzerias in Naples, and collects all this in one vibrant place, serving diverse Italian dishes with different flavors in an atmosphere that reflects the warmth of Italian hospitality.

The restaurant receives guests through its spacious hall, and upon entering the restaurant, it will draw your attention to the delicious aromas coming from the pizza corner. In this corner, thin and crunchy pizzas are served alongside great pasta and a juicy Pistica Fiorentina.

Commenting on the inauguration of the restaurant, Gerrit Graf, General Manager of Le Royal Meridien Hotel said: “Chef Myers is bringing exciting new experiences to the tastes of Le Royal Meridien Doha’s guests who are eager to explore different cultural experiences and unique culinary experiences.
