Al Nassr Defeats Iran's Esteghlal in Dubai

Al Nassr defeated the Iranian football club Esteghlal in the Asian Champions League Elite match in Dubai, UAE on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
Football star and Al Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo got close to scoring a goal in the 40th minute of the match at Al Rashid Stadium, but it was saved by Esteghlal's goalkeeper Hossein Hosseini.
Neither team was able to score a goal in the first half of the match and it continued this way for most of the second half as well. Ronaldo made another attempt to score a goal in the 74th minute, but Hosseini saved it yet again.
However, Al Nassr soon scored its first goal with Aymeric Laporte scoring the rebound after Hosseini had blocked Ronaldo's header.
Esteghlal failed to even score in the remaining time, which led Al Nassr to win the match with a score of 1-0.
The win has upped Al Nassr's score to seven points, two points behind fellow Saudi FC's Al Hilal and Al Ahli in the Asian club championship.
The win has also increased Al Nassr's chances of advancing to the knockout rounds of the tournament.
