Following a six-month investigation, online influencer Andrew Tate, his brother, and two Romanian women were charged with rape and human trafficking in Romania, according to authorities.
The four defendants were "ordered to be indicted" for crimes including "establishing an organized criminal group," "trafficking in persons," and "rape," according to the anti-organized crime prosecution's unit (DIICOT).
The Tate brothers were first arrested at their Bucharest home in December.
In March, they were moved from custody to house arrest following a ruling by a Romanian judge.
The four defendants allegedly created an organised criminal gang in 2021 to engage in human trafficking not only in Romania but also in the US and the UK, according to the accusation filed with the Bucharest court.
Currently, a Romanian court needs 60 days to review the case files before it can be tried.
