After the box-office success of Ariane Grande's 'Wicked' this winter, the news came that the beloved musical will have a sequel.
At first, the sequel was simply called 'Wicked: Part 2', but now it is called 'Wicked: For Good'.
The film is directed by the director of the first film Jon M. Chu with the script from Winnie Holzman, Dana Fox, and Marc Platt.
The sequel will pick up from when Elphaba defied the Wizard and Madame Morrible and flew away after they started villainizing her and turning everyone against her.
The film is set to release in theaters on Nov. 21, 2025. 'Wicked: Part 2' was the working title for the anticipated sequel and it has now been given the official title of 'Wicked: For Good'.
