Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan, known for his breakout hit "Type of Way," has died at the age of 33. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed the rapper's passing after being notified by Grady Memorial Hospital on Thursday.
Cause of Death Still Unknown
Details about the cause and manner of Rich Homie Quan’s death have not yet been released, and an autopsy is scheduled for Friday to determine further information. The artist, whose real name was Dequantes Devontay Lamar, was a major figure in the hip-hop world, gaining fame in 2013 with his hit single "Type of Way." He later followed up with the successful track "Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)" in 2015.

Rich Homie Quan was a rising star in the early 2010s and was named to XXL magazine's Freshman Class in 2014, joining other top artists such as Chance the Rapper, Ty Dolla $ign, and Kevin Gates.
