Belavia Airlines to Launch Direct Flights to Salalah
New route to boost Oman-Belarus tourism and investment

Belarus’ national carrier, Belavia Airlines, is set to operate its first-ever flights to Salalah Airport, with the inaugural flight departing from Minsk next Thursday.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has granted approval for the operation, emphasizing its commitment to enhancing Oman’s tourism sector.
More Flights on the Horizon
The initial phase includes four flights until March 2025, operated on a Boeing B737-800 with a capacity of 189 passengers. The airline is also expected to continue flights during summer 2026, bringing the total to 16 tourist flights.
Dr. Abdullah bin Masoud Al Harthi, Honorary Consul of Belarus in Oman, highlighted that these direct flights will boost tourism in Dhofar while strengthening economic and investment ties.
Oman-Belarus Ties Strengthen
The new route follows the Belarusian President’s visit to Oman, which focused on expanding collaboration in sectors like clean energy, tourism, healthcare, and logistics.
Additionally, Belarusian citizens now enjoy visa-free entry to Oman for up to 14 days, making travel even more accessible.
Plans are also in motion to introduce direct flights between Muscat and Minsk, further deepening cooperation and investment opportunities between the two nations.
