Bollywood Film '12th Fail' to Get a Prequel

Indian director Vidhu Vinod Chopra has revealed that his 2023 film '12th Fail, featuring Vikrant Massey​​​​​​​, will get a prequel.

Indian director Vidhu Vinod Chopra has revealed that his 2023 film '12th Fail, featuring Vikrant Massey, will get a prequel. 

The prequel is titled 'Zero Se Shuruwat' and the previous film's cast will return for this project. 

'12th Fail' won three awards at the 2024 IIFA Awards, including 'Best Director', 'Best Screenplay', and 'Best Adapted Story'. The film also won five awards at the 2024 Filmfare Awards including including 'Best Director', 'Best Actor (Critics)', and 'Best Film'.

The film is based on Anurag Pathak's book, featuring the inspiring story of Manoj Kumar Sharma who overcomes extreme poverty to become an IPS  officer. '12th Fail' highlights how Sharma's wife IRS officer, Shraddha Joshi, played a pivotal role in his journey. 

Alongside Massey, the film featured Medha Shankr, Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Priyanshu Chatterjee.

Cinephiles loved the '12th Fail' for its heartwarming and inspiring story, so they are excited to see what the prequel of the film has in store for them.
