In a tragic incident, two expatriates lost their lives following the collapse of an old building in the Wilayat of Sur, located in Oman’s South Al Sharqiyah Governorate.

The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) confirmed the fatalities in an official statement, revealing that the collapse occurred in the early hours of the morning.

According to the CDAA, rescue teams were dispatched to the scene shortly after dawn to respond to reports of the building’s collapse.

Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the bodies of the two victims—Asian nationals—were found beneath the rubble and recovered deceased.

Authorities are now investigating the cause of the collapse, as the incident raises concerns about the safety of older structures in the area.
