CAA: Heavy Rainfall Forecasted in Oman

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announced that heavy rainfall will be witnessed in several parts of Oman from Sunday, Feb. 11 to Wednesday, Feb. 14.

Strong winds, heavy rainfall, and hail are forecasted, which are expected to cause flash floods in Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Dakhylia, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahira, Muscat, North Al Sharqiya, South Al Sharqiya and some parts of Al Wusta governorates.
The forecast was provided by the National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Center and the CAA shared the forecast to warn the public in Oman.
The public is advised to strictly abide by safety measures for travelling on the road.
Motorists are also advised to avoid travelling near low-lying valleys during these weather conditions.
