The firefighting teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) in Muscat have managed to extinguish a fire that broke out in a house in the Al-Ghubrah area on Saturday.

Emergency medical care was provided to five residents as a result of smoke inhalation, and they were transported to the hospital, the CDAA announced.

Their health is stable, the authority added.

This comes a day after the CDAA teams were able to put out a fire that broke out in an apartment in one of the buildings in the Al Khuwair area. Two women were taken to the hospital in that incident on Friday.

Their health is said to be in a "moderate" condition.
