Classes remain suspended in some governates of Oman on Wednesday, Mar. 6 because of the harsh weather conditions in the Sultanate.
Classes were suspended in Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, North and South Al Sharqiyah and will be resumed on Thursday, Mar. 7.
The Educational Directorate advised other governates to evaluate the situation and make decisions accordingly.
Various parts of Oman experienced heavy thundershowers with downdraft winds and hail, which were expected to continue until Wednesday, Mar. 6.
Classes were suspended in various parts of the country on Tuesday because of the unstable weather.
Private and public schools as well as higher education institutions and vocational colleges remained closed in some parts of Oman on Tuesday for the safety of students.
The public has been advised to strictly adhere to all safety measures during this weather in Oman.
