The Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has agreed to a huge contract worth 172.9 million pounds ($207.5 million) with the Saudi club Al-Nasr.
The 37-year-old's contract with Manchester United was terminated earlier this month after a tumultuous relationship with the club's chiefs only worsened when he made a number of controversial remarks in a TV interview with Piers Morgan.
The contract with the Saudi victory extends for two and a half years, for 172.9 million pounds annually – which means that Ronaldo will play until the age of forty.
Al-Nasr is one of the most successful clubs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as it won the Saudi League title 9 times, and its last victory was in 2019.
Ronaldo became the first player in history to score in five different World Cups, opening the scoring from the penalty spot in a thrilling 3-2 win over Ghana.
