The Dhofar Municipality has announced that kitchens in restaurants, cafes, and bakeries in the governate must have HD surveillance cameras (CCTVs).
These eateries must install 32'' TV screens in their dining areas so that customers can view the food preparation process.
The Municipality has launched this project for the observation of food preparation and the performance of the cooking staff. This project will help ensure food safety and it will also use modern technologies to streamline and enhance control work processes.
The project will also help develop an efficient food work system so that chances of food preparation violations can be reduced and the efficiency of self-health control can be improved.
Compliance with these conditions is required before the issuance of new municipal licenses for targeted activities in the first phase of this project.
The eateries will be given a deadline between May 15th and August 15th to implement the requirements demanded from this project.
