David Gaudu Wins Third Stage of 2025 Tour of Oman
Groupama–FDJ's David Gaudu won Stage 3 of the 2025 Tour of Oman, taking the overall lead.
The French driver narrowly defeated reigning champion Adam Yates (UAE Team Emirates XRG) by one second and secured his first win of the season.
Yates finished second and Damien Howson (Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team) finished third because he was five seconds behind.
Gaudu leads the overall classification by six seconds over Yates.
The third stage of the Tour of Oman saw the riders face a difficult ascent to Eastern Mountain (1,016 metres above sea level).
Gaudu's victory also meant that he wrested the red jersey from Louis Vervaeke (Soudal–Quick-Step). who was dropped from the lead group when there were only three kilometers left to the race.
