Oman's Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) reported a grim discovery in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate. Following the heavy rains that swept the region, the body of a missing person has been recovered. The CDAA, along with other rescue teams and citizens, tirelessly searched for the individual amidst challenging conditions. Tragically, this brings the death toll from the recent floods to 13, highlighting the severity of the situation.
The National Center for Emergency Situations (NCEM) confirmed the distressing news on Sunday, April 14th, 2024. The deluge, primarily affecting the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi in North Al Sharqiyah, has left a trail of devastation, claiming lives and causing widespread destruction.
As search efforts continue for three other missing individuals, including a child, communities remain on high alert in the face of ongoing challenges posed by the inclement weather.
