Al Wakrah Port is just one of many lovely locations in Qatar that exemplifies tranquillity at its finest. It seems so unbelievable to be strolling around the port while admiring the azure ocean. Al Wakrah has a long history of being a fishing community.

Here, you can see the fishing boats that are moored at the marina and the ones that are scouring the seas for fish to supply the town with. For many residents, casting a net in Port Al-Wakrah is a time-honored pastime. You can always relax by the sea and enjoy a recent catch.

Driving is the most convenient way to arrive at Port Al-Wakrah; turn off Al Wakra Main Street and drive towards the water until you reach Al Meena Street. Upon entering the marina, you will see a large number of boats waiting with their hooks in the water for the next catch.

You may see one of the well-known historic roundabouts next to the port, the Pearl monument, which has subsequently been moved between the Al Wakrah Old Souq and the Al Wakrah port as a result of improvements made to the Al Wakrah main road. This towering icon, which is a feature of Al Wakrah city, will be easy to spot if you're strolling through the souq's beachfront section.

The Al Wakrah Old Souq is where you should go next. You can buy souvenirs there, eat at a nearby café, and stroll along the beach. It is a bustling market. Local vendors and beach restaurants dotted the streets as well. You feel transported back in time by the market's rural atmosphere and the inhabitants and visitors buying locally crafted goods.

You'll enjoy a more authentic souq because of the squares' historic architecture and design. Al Wakrah Souq is a great place to spend the day with family and friends because of its laid-back ambiance. The family-friendly beaches along the coast are just a short drive away.

There are still marketplaces and businesses that you can visit, despite the fact that they appear to be less in number over time. Five of Al Wakrah Old Souq's ten zones have markets or sections specifically designated for selling goods like dates, nuts, fish, cheese, flowers, sweets, women's accessories, perfume, gold, souvenirs, meat, vegetables, fruits, spices, handicrafts, utensils, swords, carpet, birds and animals, wood, and marine equipment.
