MasterCard's global program "Digital First" for cards paves the way for a new approach in the field of payment operations that is compatible with the high growth rates of e-commerce and the spread of smart devices and meets the aspirations of consumers in terms of this type of transactions. The program aims to advance the digital payments arena by driving a transformation that keeps pace with changes in consumer choices, to provide better, faster, and easier payment experiences.

The global MasterCard program “Digital First” provides instant payment solutions and advanced banking services to customers, through a mobile application, instant issuance, and adding the card to your digital wallets to make payments and manage a wide range of benefits.

As the first authorized partner of the Digital First program in Qatar, Dukhan Bank can also issue a uniquely designed standard bank card without visible numbers on both sides, thus providing protection against theft of personal and financial data. Although this innovative card comes without numbers, its holders can still use the card in its original version to make contactless payments in stores easily, and also make e-commerce payments using the digital card whose data is stored securely within the banking services through the Dukhan Bank mobile application.

On this occasion, Mr. Talal Ahmed Al Khaja, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Dukhan Bank, said: “As part of our ongoing partnership with MasterCard, we are pleased to offer our customers the first prepaid digital card that gives them more convenience and security, in addition to being approved by many stores and shopping sites around the world.
