The official start date of Eid Al Adha in Oman has been announced for Wednesday, June 28th, 2023, by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs. In Muscat and Oman, the Eid al-Adha prayer will begin 15 to 20 minutes after sunrise.

According to the guideline that Eid prayers should be held 15 minutes after sunrise, the Eid Al-Adha prayer will be held on Wednesday at around 5:41 a.m.
The time frame for the Eid prayer is from 20 minutes after the Fajr prayer to 20 minutes after the Duhur prayer.
The religious leader, the Imam, preaches before the two rakats, or units of prayer, that make up the Eid al-Adha prayer. The sermon typically places a strong emphasis on the significance of the day as well as the value of giving to others, being charitable, and obeying God.
