CEO of Tesla and Twitter, Elon Musk has announced the launch of an artificial intelligence firm xAI, which will rival ChatGPT.
The company's website launched on Wednesday, Jul. 12 and its goal is to "understand the true nature of the universe".
Elon Musk, who is leading the new company as well, shared the announcement on his Twitter page: "Announcing the formation of @xAI to understand reality".
Although this new company is a separate entity from XCorp, it is revealed that xAI will work closely with Twitter, Tesla, and other companies to achieve the corporate's goals.
A report revealed that the Twitter CEO and Jared Birchall had incorporated a business in March called X.AI, according to the Nevada state filing with the Secretary of State.
Another report shared that Musk held discussions in April with Tesla Inc. and Space Exploration Technologies Corp. investors to fund an AI startup.
After its launch, xAI will chat on Twitter Spaces on Friday, Jul. 14.
