Elon Musk's Starlink Soon to be Launched in Oman


Oman's telecom authority has allowed tech billionaire Elon Musk's Starlink to start operations in the Sultanate.
Starlink's internet service will start retail operations and will cover all regions; it will offer internet speeds up to 100 Mbps. The telecommunications provider will provide fixed public telecommunications in the country.
Starlink is a low-orbit satellite network which offers high-speed broadband services, especially in areas with low internet connectivity.
The telecommunications provider will enhance service quality and speed in the country and support various economic sectors, including tourism, oil and gas, agriculture, and mining.
