The Stopover program will be expanded in the upcoming months by Discover Qatar, the destination management organization of the Qatar Airways Group.

The Qatar Airways Group Annual Report 2021-2022, which was published last month, stated that Discover Qatar (DQ), "featuring an outstanding and comprehensive portfolio of hotels, excursions, transfers, and activities, has made noteworthy strides in highlighting and promoting Qatar as a global tourist destination."

Over 10,000 visitors to Qatar have taken tours since the company initially accepted guests from the MSC Virtuosa Cruise ship, according to the statement. The expansion of the Stopover program and the facilitation of transit trips are the primary goals for the forthcoming fiscal year.

According to the source, travelers will be able to take tours through Discover Qatar "as soon as transit permits are opened again" thanks to the new scheme.

Discover Qatar's mission statement read, "Discover Qatar aims to become the go-to brand synonymous with excellence in operational delivery for Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Events (MICE), for world-class sporting events, and for educational tourism in one of the safest environments in the world.

Another recent report claims that Qatar Tourism (QT) is stepping up its efforts to attract more visitors to the nation by utilizing the Stopover campaign in conjunction with Qatar Airways. One of the six main strategies QT is concentrating on is increasing the number of tourists visiting Qatar, which is expected to welcome around 1.5 million people starting in November for the World Cup.

According to their data, Qatar has been a transit airport, with "people arriving, people going, and no one getting off," according to COO of Qatar Tourism Berthold Trenkel, who stated last month that "that's one thing for us to alter."

According to the report, DQ is committed to fully respecting Qatar's heritage and culture, its stakeholders, and the larger community by offering products and services with an unwavering focus on quality. This is in line with its customer-first approach. Through business-to-business (B2B) retail and corporate relationships, as well as the Discover Qatar website in Qatar, Discover Qatar, provides its services to clients all over the world.

The statement continued, "Discover Qatar plays a key role in promoting Qatar, working closely with Qatar Airways and Qatar Tourism, and supports initiatives to host influential tour operators and travel industry professionals to experience the best of Qatar through unforgettable tours and exhilarating excursions."

It was further disclosed that DQ revised and relaunched its Ground Services program during the financial year 2021–2022 and that it now offers close to 30 land- and water-based tours and experiences, meet and assist services at HIA, and transfers, enabling a superior end-to-end service for all customers from the point of arrival to the point of departure.
