F1: Daniel Ricciardo Has Officially Left RB

Australian F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo has left RB and will be replaced by Liam Lawson for the remainder of the 2024 season races.
Although the F1 team made the official announcement on Thursday, Sep. 26, the rumors were already circulating at the Singapore Grand Prix 2024.

Clips of Ricciardo's emotional post-race interview have been trending on social media after the race on Sunday, which confirmed the news.
RB's official statement read, "Daniel has been a true gentleman both on and off the track and never without that smile. He will be missed, but will always hold a special place within the Red Bull family."
Fans have reacted negatively to the news of Ricciardo leaving RB with one fan commenting, "Daniel you will be missed 😭😭💔💔"
Ricciardo also wrote a heartfelt note on his Instagram, saying, "I’ve loved this sport my whole life. It’s wild and wonderful and been a journey. To the teams and individuals that have played their part, thank you. To the fans who love the sport sometimes more than me haha thank you."
He also wrote, "It’ll always have its highs and lows but it’s been fun and truth be told I wouldn’t change it. Until the next adventure."
Liam Lawson will join Yuki Tsunoda in the US Grand Prix. He has been a reserve driver for the team since 2022 and he made his F1 debut in Zandvoort in 2023 during Ricciardo's recovery period.
