These prisoners were indebted individuals who had failed to fulfil their financial obligations.
Leader of the Fak Kurba Initiative Dr Mohammed Ibrahim Al Zadjali shared that the lawyers association plans to release 1,500 prisoners by the end of May 2024.
The procedure to release indebted people follows the conditions set by the Judicial Administrative Affairs Council, therefore priority in relief payment corresponds to the categories of 'least debts' and 'older indebted people'.
