Fees for Expats in Omani Government Schools is Reduced by 50%

The fees for expat students studying in Omani government schools have been reduced by 50 percent in a decision issued by the Ministry of Education (MoE). For their tuition fees, expat students in government schools will have 50 pay RO50, instead of RO100.
The Ministry decision also emphasized that the children of non-Omani employees working at MoE will have to pay 50 percent less tuition. Furthermore, the decision will also be implemented for private school fees from RO300 to RO150, therefore reducing license fees for students from RO1,500 to RO750.
Students already exempted from the government school fees discount include children of Omani women married to non-Omani men, students from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, students from Yemen, and students who do not have identification documents specifying their nationality.
