Chef David Myers turns cheat day into treat day with protein-packed, celebrity workout-inspired burger

31 OCTOBER 2021, UAE ,DUBAI: Since launching its second global outpost in October at Expo 2020 Dubai, Adrift Burger Bar by Michelin-rated celebrity chef David Myers has given its visitors a glimpse into David’s two homes, Venice Beach in California and Tokyo, Japan - both through the concept’s interior design and its legendary burger recipes.

In honor of Dubai Fitness Challenge this year, Chef David Myers sought inspiration from his good friend and iconic celebrity fitness coach, Jorgen Demey in Los Angeles, to create the ultimate cheat day meal to help fuel an active lifestyle. Jorgen has made waves over the years in Hollywood thanks to his approach to training celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Ben Affleck and James Corden into A1 shape with his Action Hero Body workout method.

The original concept for the burger was a cheat day meal that is tasty and indulgent but also fuels the body’s muscles. The end result; the Action Hero Body Burger – a protein-packed burger designed to help build and maintain a strong and active body. The burger comprises of a soft brioche bun topped with Adrift Burger Bar’s signature blend 5oz US beef patty, 2 rashes of US beef bacon, sliced avocado, grilled onion, tomato, pickles, herbed aioli and aged white Cheddar. This beast of a burger contains a whopping 40g of protein, your daily supply of vitamin B12 along with other daily essential nutrients.

The Action Hero Body Burger will be available at Adrift Burger Bar in the Mobility District at Expo 2020 Dubai starting the 31st October.

Myers honed his culinary skills under celebrated chefs including Daniel Boulud and Charlie Trotter prior to opening his own restaurants in Los Angeles with Michelin-starred Sona, Hinoki & The Bird, and Comme Ҫa in West Hollywood. At Comme Ҫa, Myers introduced his now-legendary burger, deemed ‘perfect’ by The New York Times in 2009. Since embarking on a culinary journey around the world, Myers has gained global recognition with concepts in Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Dubai.
