Four expatriates have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) for attempting to smuggle over 90 kilograms of illegal drugs into the country. The drugs seized included crystal meth, heroin, marijuana, and 1,700 psychotropic tablets.
According to a statement from the ROP, the arrest was made by the General Department for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances. Three of the suspects are of Asian nationality, and they were apprehended during the operation.
The police emphasized that legal procedures are now being completed against the individuals involved. The ROP continues to work hard to combat drug trafficking and keep the streets of Oman safe from harmful substances.
This recent bust serves as a reminder of the efforts being made by Omani authorities to tackle drug-related crime and maintain public safety.
