On Monday, June 17, pilgrims in Makkah experienced a refreshing change as heavy rain showers brought relief from the intense heat during this year's Hajj season.
Rain During Rituals
The downpour occurred in Minah while pilgrims were performing the symbolic stoning of the devil, an essential Hajj ritual.
Temperature Drop
Meteorological authorities reported that the rain caused a significant temperature drop, from 48°C to 41°C, offering much relief to the pilgrims.
Coinciding with Eid al-Adha
The final days of Hajj are also marked by the celebration of Eid al-Adha, observed by Muslims worldwide. The rain added a special touch to this important religious period.
