Heavy rainfall is likely over some governorates of Oman on Tuesday, July 11th, according to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

The CAA has issued a heavy rain alert, to be in effect from 1pm to 10pm.
According to the CAA's predictions, mountainous areas over the governorates of Al Dakhiliyah, South Al Batinah, Al Dhahira, North Al Sharqiyah and North Al Batinah.
Citizens and residents can expect strong downdraft winds (15-35 knots), with the possibility of poor horizontal visibility due to dust rising during the rainfall.
Heavy rainfall may also lead to flash wadis.

Meanwhile, Oman Meteorology has urged people to stay away from low places and wadis and to not attempt to swim in wadis.
