Earth Hour involves people from various countries showing support for the environment by switching off their lights and the Royal Opera House of Muscat did the same.
Earth Hour happened on Saturday, Mar. 23 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. to shed light on environmental issues affecting the earth.
The Royal Opera House shared pictures of the moment on Instagram, revealing what the venue looks like during lights out.
The pictures show the brightly lit halls of the venue completely shrouded in darkness, while the windows of the Opera House did not glow with their usual lights.
In the pictures, the opera house is devoid of its usual crowds and activity, which is a common scene at the venue because of musicals, concerts, and other shows.
ROH Muscat's initiative for Earth Hour highlights its commitment to environmental-friendly causes, which emphasize the importance of protecting our planet.
