The Eid Al Adha break for employees in the public and private sectors will begin on Sunday, June 16th, and last until Wednesday, July 19th. In Oman, Eid al Adha is an enjoyable holiday and there are lots of wonderful locations to see as well as activities for all ages.

Here are some locations in Oman that you can visit for the Eid holiday over the upcoming long break.

1. Oman's Longest Zipline in Khasab in the Omani exclave of Musandam

The Omani town, which is well-known for its rocky mountain surroundings and authentic wooden dhow boat tours, has expanded its visitor attraction offers with the introduction of the zipline. Riders travel 1,800 meters from Jebel Fitt, flying over the Wilayat of Khasab's shoreline at up to 80 kph, and are verified by Guinness World Records as having the longest zipline over water.

2. Snow Oman

Snow Oman, The largest indoor snow park in the MENA region, and it is the only indoor snow attraction in the Sultanate. It is perfectly positioned in the Mall of Oman and covers an enormous 14,830m2 area. Among the more than 20 family-friendly rides and activities at this must-see location are a 430-meter ice rink and a penguinarium, which is home to a community of king and gentoo penguins.

3. Wadi Bani Khalid

Located about three hours from Muscat. Wadi Bani Khalid is the perfect location to celebrate Eid with family. Experience a beautiful trip across the Hajar Mountains, passing by quaint Omani communities and natural countryside. Take a trek through the Wadi to explore its breathtaking natural features, which include blue swimming pools, lush palm groves, and dramatic rock formations.

4. Jabal Hatt

At roughly 2000 meters above sea level, Jabal Hatt is the ideal holiday spot for anyone seeking to escape the summer heat. From the peak of Jabal Hatt, travelers may see a breathtakingly broad view of the several wilayats.

5. Oman Across the Ages Museum

The Oman Across Ages Museum in the Wilayat of Manah presents a spectacular representation of the country's past for anyone willing to explore Oman's rich history and culture. The museum, which is only 20 minutes from Nizwa or one hour and 40 minutes from Muscat, shows how Oman has evolved from its glorious history to the present and into a promising future.

6. Masirah Island

Masirah Island is home to some of the most gorgeous beaches and thrilling water activities in Oman, making it both the biggest and most peaceful place to spend the holidays of Eid al Adha. 

7. Jebel Shams

The best-known highlight of Jebel Shams ( 3009m Mountain of the Sun), Oman's highest mountain, is not its highest point but rather the view it offers of the breathtakingly deep Wadi Ghul that lies next to it. One may enjoy stargazing, trekking, or swimming during their visit to Jebel Shams for the Eid break.
