The Perseid meteor shower, which will peak from the evening of Saturday, August 12th, to the early hours of Sunday, August 13th, is visible in the Sultanate of Oman's night sky. It will last until August 24th.
According to Ashwaq Nasser Al Siyabi, a member of the Oman Astronomical Society's executive committee, the best place to observe the phenomena is from a dark area far from light sources, pollution, and any obstructions like tall trees.
A stargazer should keep an eye out for the showers on the northeast around Perseus tower, which is the apparent source of the midnight Saturday-Sunday meteors, Ashwaq noted.
The breathtaking view that can be seen with the naked eye will be accessible to amateur astrophotographers and stargazers to photograph.
