His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik sent greetings for the blessed month of Ramadan to the people of Oman, according to a statement by the Diwan of the Royal Court.

The statement reads "Upon the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, as Muslims all over the globe revel over the blissful onset of the Holy Month — His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has addressed a message of greetings to Omani citizens, residents in the Sultanate of Oman and the whole Islamic nation on the advent of the holy month, praying to Allah the Almighty to accept their fasting, prayers and good deeds. His Majesty also prayed for the return of this and similar occasions while all are enjoying good health and happiness."
His Majesty sent cables with greetings for the Holy Month to Arab and Muslim leaders. He also exchanged Ramadan greetings on a phone call with King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain on Wednesday.
