The revenue for three to five-star hotels in Oman increased by 50.8% at the end of January 2023 at OMR 20.79 million, compared to the same period in 2022, according to the latest data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The occupancy rate rose from 31.3 % to 53.7%, which is more than the rate of 40.9% from the corresponding period in 2022. 

The number of guests for three to five-star hotels was 173,313, which was a 65% increase compared to the same time frame in 2022. 

There was an increase in the number of guests from Oceania at 383.1%  from 767 guests at the end of January 2022 to 3,705 guests by the end of January 2023. The number of European guests rose by 120.2% from 26,461 guests to 58,256 guests by the end of January 2023.

The number of Asian guests increased by 96.1% to 21, 098 by the end of January 2023 from January last year. The number of GCC guests rose by 81.9% from 5,919 to 10,767 by the end of January 2023.
