Indian film star Tabu has been cast in the Max prequel series 'Dune: Prophecy'.
The series is inspired by the novel 'Sisterhood of Dune', written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
The storyline follows two Harkonnen sisters who battle against the forces that threaten mankind and form a fabled sect called Bene Gesserit. The premier date for the series is unknown.
Tabu is set to play Sister Francesca who is described as 'strong and intelligent'. Her return to the palace threatens the balance of power in the capital.
Tabu is one of the most celebrated actresses in Indian cinema and has received various accolades including two National Film Awards, seven Filmfare Awards, and two Filmfare Awards South.
