Some 162 researchers from 26 countries are participating in the conference, which will be until Friday, February 10th.
The five-day event is organized by SQU's Earth Sciences Research Center (ESRC).
The ICESET-23 is free to attend by university students, and they must submit their university ID.
The event provides an opportunity for researchers to share with the scientific community their up-to-date contributions related to earth sciences and the transition to clean energy.
The conference underlines studies in alternative energy types such hydrogen energy, thermal and solar energy, wind energy, and water energy as ways to combat carbon dioxide emissions.
The conference will also discuss energy waste and the environment, as well as the utilization and storage of carbon dioxide.
