What a grand gesture! King Charles III of England welcomed the Emir of Qatar in Arabic at Buckingham Palace.

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was in Britain for a two-day visit. At a lavish state banquet, King Charles surprised his guests by speaking in Arabic. 

King Charles said, "Assalamualaykum. Welcome again to the United Kingdom". He also said, "The United Kingdom is proud to be Qatar’s oldest friend in the Western world. We have a special bond founded on mutual respect which has stood the test of time.”

The banquet was attended by renowned politicians and celebrities including football star David Beckham.
