World Population Day is celebrated on July 11th of every year to highlight the issues faced by the world due to overpopulation. Countries from the Arab World make up some of the most densely populated countries in the world, according to the Worldometer.

These are the 10 Most Populated Countries in the Arab World:

1. Egypt

Egypt is the most densely populated country in the Arab world with a population of 108, 456, 991 million. It is considered to be overpopulated, which has raised concerns about the country's economic resources being strained and the country's development being negatively affected.

2. Sudan 

Sudan is the second most populated Arab nation with a total population of 46, 936, 161 million. 

3. Algeria

Algeria has a total population of 46, 237, 536 million which makes it the third most populated Arab nation. The country is the tenth largest country in the world with an area of  2,381,741 square kilometers.

4. Iraq

The total population of Iraq is 42,943,719 million which has raised concerns as the country is considered overpopulated for its current state of economy, infrastructure, and food security. 

5. Morocco

Morocco's total population is 38,228,437 million and is the fifth most populated Arab nation. According to Worldometer, 63.8 percent of the population is concentrated in urban areas.

6. Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia might be the sixth most densely populated Arab nation, but it is the most populated GCC nation with a total population of 36,447,595. The country's statistics authority reported that 63 percent of the population is under the age of 30, which emphasizes the need to diversify the economy to cater to the needs of the younger population.

7. Yemen 

Yemen has a total population of 31,806,370 million, however, it suffers the worst humanitarian crisis as 80 percent of its population suffers from food insecurity.

8. Syria 

Syria is the eighth most populated Arab country with a total population of 18,782,576. The country also suffers a humanitarian crisis as 13.4 million of its population is in need of humanitarian assistance due to civil war. 

9. Somalia 

Somalia's total population is 17,230,641 million. It's population also face challenges from food insecurity and drought.

10. Tunisia

The total population of Tunisia is 12,191,096 million and the country is part of the Maghreb region of Northern Africa.
