Muscat Municipality Destroys Over 45K Kilograms of Vegetables & Fruits

During the first quarter of the year, the Muscat Municipality conducted over 3,000 inspection visits to the central market, leading to destroying of a significant quantity of vegetables that were unsuitable for human consumption.
The Muscat Municipality said: “The Central Market for Vegetables and Fruits Administration carried out 3078 inspection visits during the first quarter of this year, as a continuation of the oversight role played by the Muscat Municipality. “
According to the municipality, their inspection visits included warehouses, shops, and crop-selling locations, resulting in the disposal of approximately 45,864 kilograms of vegetables and fruits that were ineligible for human consumption.
