Challenges Encountered
The municipality is working on expanding the rental service, but several hurdles have slowed progress. One significant issue is the lack of designated bike and scooter lanes in the city, which has raised concerns about safety. Additionally, the public has raised complaints about disturbances caused by the rentals at popular destinations like beaches.
Feedback and Alternative Plans
In response to the complaints, Muscat Municipality proposed an alternative site for the service at Manouma Beach. However, the suggestion did not sit well with some citizens, who expressed dissatisfaction with the new location.
Commitment to Safety and Public Interest
Despite these challenges, Muscat Municipality is committed to enhancing the city’s rental services while prioritizing safety and public interest. The municipality continues to work on solutions to address the concerns of the public, aiming to meet the needs of both residents and visitors.
