The Lebanese star Nadine Labiki's 'The Sandcastle' will be released on Netflix on Friday, Jan. 24.
The streaming platform recently released the trailer of the film, which is about a family of four who are stranded on an island.
US Emmy-nominated director Matty Brown has directed this film, making his feature film debut. He co-wrote the script for it with Jordan’s Yassmina Karajah and Egyptian-Qatari writer-director Hend Fakhroo.
Alongside Labiki, the film features Palestinian actor Ziad Bakri and Zain and Riman Al-Rafeea in lead roles.
'The Sandcastle' premiered at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Dec. 24, 2024.
