After The ministry of Health and prevention, MoHAP approved the emergency use of booster shots of Pfizer-BioNTech and Sputnik vaccines, It announced a new protocol for the groups that should receive a booster dose, as Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi has emphasized the new booster shots would be given to certain groups such as:

"Residents above 60 years old, anyone with chronic diseases and those with risk of developing complications aged between 50-59 years old, as well as anyone above 18 years old receiving long-term health care."

Anyone who has received a Booster dose of Pfizer-BioNTech or Sputnik after 2 doses of vaccination of Sinophram is not eligible for the booster shot. 

The booster shot would help improve the immunity and effectiveness against COVID-19 infections as it slows down with time.

Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi has further stated and we quote "The UAE has reinforced its leading position since the outbreak of the virus as it now ranks among the first countries in globally in addressing the pandemic, thanks to the concerted efforts made by all sectors to ensure sustainable recovery” 

Thanks to the continuous efforts and approaches to defy the challenges of Covid-19 UAE has now become a role and leading model against this pandemic, hopping into all future leads or potential opportunities to beat it down.
