Nightingale Of India: Legendary Singer Lata Mangeshkar Passed Away
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away today at the age of 92; she was tested positive in the past month for Covid-19 and was diagnosed with Pneumonia.
Lata Mangeshkar is better known as "Nightingale of India" her singing career started back in 1942.
A Nightingale of Music and Success
Her career lasted more than seven decades, and she has more than over 30,000 songs in different languages; the most famous tracks that she sang were:
- Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai
- Raam Teri Ganga Maili
- Ek Radha Ek Meera
- Didi Tera Devar Deewana

Lata Mangeshkar was given many outbreaking and outstanding awards such as:
- Padma Bhushan, which is the third-highest civilian award - 1969.
- Padma Vibhushan, which is the second-highest civilian award - 1999.
- Bharat Ratna, which is the first highest civilian award - 2001.
- Officier de la Legion d’Honneur, which is frances' highest civilian award - 2009
Today, 6th Feb 2022 Sunday, the legendary singer has passed after a long life of success and awards. May her soul rest in peace.
