Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Syrian Arab Republic, His Excellency Sayyid Turki bin Mahmoud Al-Busaidi confirmed that no Omanis from Omani Embassy in Syria were injured in the Türkiye-Syria earthquake during a phone interview on the “Ma’a Al Shabiba” show.

The Ambassador explained that the Sultanate's embassy is in Damascus, which was not affected by the earthquake. He also shared that the embassy issued a statement, after the earthquake, sharing the embassy's contact details to receive communication and reports from Omani citizens in Syria.
Al-Busaidi also explained how the Sultanate's embassy is managing the coordination between the Syrian Foreign Ministry and the Sultanate of Oman to receive humanitarian aid in Syria from Oman. The first plane of humanitarian relief from Oman is expected to arrive on Thursday in Syria.
