Oman Air is ramping up its service to Salalah to cater to the high demand during the Khareef season. The airline has increased its flight capacity, with up to 11 daily flights and several routes upgraded to wide-body aircraft. This expansion adds nearly 4,500 extra seats for travelers.
Supporting National Tourism and Affordable Travel
In July alone, Oman Air transported around 50,000 passengers to Salalah, with more than 70% benefiting from fixed national fare tickets. Mike Rutter, Oman Air’s Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the airline's commitment to promoting Salalah as a prime tourist destination and aligning with national objectives.
Fixed Fares to Keep Travel Accessible
To make travel more affordable for Omani citizens, Oman Air offers a fixed national fare of OMR 54 for return trips during the Khareef season, increasing to OMR 64 for the rest of the year. These fares are available exclusively through the airline’s website and mobile app. Although there is no limit on the number of tickets available at this rate, they are in high demand, so early booking is advised. Non-Omani passengers can also find competitive fares.
