Oman's airports experienced a notable surge in passenger traffic by the end of April 2024, with nearly 5 million travelers passing through. The National Center for Statistics and Information reported a 16.4% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Muscat International Airport saw the most significant rise, with approximately 4,430,119 passengers, marking a robust 16.8% increase.
Among these, Indian nationals constituted the majority, followed by passengers of Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationalities.
Salalah Airport also witnessed a notable uptick, with passenger numbers reaching 429,181, reflecting a 9.9% increase. Similarly, Sohar Airport accommodated 22,390 passengers, while Duqm Airport served 20,106 travelers during this period.
As Oman's air travel continues to grow, these figures underscore the country's position as a burgeoning hub in the region.
