Oman Announces Partial Closure of Sharqiyah Expressway Tunnel
Two lanes in the first tunnel of the Sharqiyah Motorway will be partially closed for maintenance purposes, according to the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT).

A statement issued by MTCIT said, “The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, in cooperation with Royal Oman Police, will close two lanes in the first tunnel of the Sharqiyah Expressway heading to Ibra. This temporary closure is to facilitate the completion of essential tunnel works.”
The ministry calls on road users to pay attention and follow safety instructions.
