Oman at the UN Council Calls for the End of the Gaza Siege

Oman at the United Nations Council called for an end to the siege on Gaza at a meeting held in the UN headquarters in New York.
Already 3,300 Palestinians have died, including at least 500 people in the Al Ahli Hospital attack, and 11,000 are injured (Al Jazeera).
The Permanent Representative of Oman Dr. Mohammed bin Awwad Al Hassan stated that the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council emphasize the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The ceasefire will allow humanitarian teams to enter the Gaza Strip safely and provide medical aid to the people in Gaza.

Dr. Al Hassan called for the crossings to be opened and the protection of workers in relief organizations and medical teams in the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
